Mario eventually opened his own dojang in Bundaberg after receiving his 4th Dan black belt, and it immediately had a reputation for having strong fighters. Mario served as the club’s Head Instructor until his sudden death in 2009. Mitchell Archer, a disciple of Master Mario Rejtano who works to preserve his traditional form of taekwondo, is the present Head Instructor. The club is well-known for its welcoming neighborhood setting and for frequently traveling to Brisbane and the surrounding area to participate in tournaments.
