Beyond Grappling Club

Matt is one of Australia’s most accomplished Judo competitors. He represented his country at the 2008 Olympic Games, won numerous Australian and Oceania championships, and is the only man to have ever won the Pacific Rim Championships. Under Michelle Nicolini Black Belt Felipe Grez, Matt has earned a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu as well.
Matt has been teaching students of all ages judo for more than 15 years. He is an enthusiastic and skilled educator. He also holds a degree in education, and in addition to coaching, he has written a number of books and served as a primary school teacher.
