Profile
The Japanese Samurai, often known as the Bushi or warrior class, used jiu-jitsu as their unarmed fighting style. A Samurai would use Jiu-jitsu grappling and striking tactics to overcome an adversary if his sword was lost or broken in battle.
Jiu-jitsu literally translates as gentle art. Jiu-jitsu places a focus on making effective use of one’s body. Effective self-defense relies more on good technique than strength.
