SouthWest Judo Academy

The first dojo of SouthWest Judo Academy was established in 2005 at Tranby College in Baldivis, Western Australia, by owner and coach Simon Read. After transporting mats in the SouthWest van for two years, we moved to a permanent dojo on Livingstone Road in Rockingham. a 90 square meter space covered in mats permanently. Our ability to introduce more sessions on more days allowed us to gradually increase our membership to match the needs of our new facility. We outgrew the Livingstone Road site in three years.

We moved once more in January 2010, choosing to go 10 kilometers south to Port Kennedy. There was additional seating in our new house at Sunlight Drive, which was 154 square meters big.
