Profile
In 1955, Grandmaster Walsh started training in Judo as his first martial art. Grandmaster Walsh was given a full scholarship by the South Korean government in 1966 so that he may reside there and devote his time to studying martial arts under the best practitioners. Grandmaster Walsh advanced quickly and developed a special understanding of the martial arts while practicing six hours per day, six days per week. He was immersed in a new language, cuisine, way of life, and customs. Hundreds of open, full-contact matches helped Grandmaster Walsh develop his technical skill while also solidifying his knowledge and fortifying his resolve. He is the only Australian to have received this kind of training.
