Wong's Dojo

Welcome to Wong’s dojo, where authentic Okinawa karate has been taught for more than 30 years in Australia. Come to the dojo and have a conversation, see a lesson, and decide whether this is the dojo for you if you want to learn traditional karate or kobudo in a secure, welcoming, and encouraging environment.
At the Hombu Dojo, we hold separate courses for children and adults to provide a secure setting for all students to receive individualized, caring instruction.
You may learn the Koburyu Kobudo of Kaicho Takashi Kinjo as well as the Ikemiyagi Goju Ryu Meibukan Karate of Kaicho Ikemiyagi Masaaki here. You can practice kobudo, karate, or both. Karate and kobudo are viewed as siblings by Okinawan martial artists; they are distinct from one another but complementary.
